To enable the map editor, you must change it to uset_g_console {1} to enable it, start up the game, type edit, for example, we will create the highway as a Interstate 2x2 (32m) wide road type. You must connect all roads anywhere you ant so do not misplace the road before connecting into it when editing. Can't see the ingame map shown as roads and stuff? Proceed to Modder Book Part 3 - Bringing up the Map.

OK, so you want to wide the roads up. Here's the tutorial of the widing roads.
To add a another road to the ingame map, you must open the defs/world/roads.def file. Open it up and you can see the road index like this:
Highway 1x1" Highway 2x2" Interstate 2x2" Interstate 3x3" Interstate 2x2 separated ( 8m)" Interstate 3x3 separated ( 8m)" Interstate 2x2 separated (12m)" Interstate 3x3 separated (12m)" Interstate 2x2 separated (18m)" Interstate 3x3 separated (18m)" City Highway 2x2" City Highway 2x2 no lanes" City Highway 2x2 + parking" Highway 2x2 separated ( 18m)" Highway 1x1 no lanes" One way no lanes"
And it looks like this: road_look_data0: "400.0; 0.0; road_look_data0: "1200.0; 0.0;
To change it to 23m or more, you must higher the road offset like this:
Before road_look_data8: "1200.0; 900.0; 0.0; 3.0; false; true; true; true; true; 2; Interstate 2x2 separated (18m)"
After road_look_data16: "1200.0; 1900.0; 0.0; 3.0; false; true; true; true; true; 2; Interstate 2x2 separated (23m)"
The road offset looks like this: road_offset 1900.0;
To change this, you must adjust your road offset in the game on your notepad before editing.
road_offset 1900.0;
We try 3000.0; at this time.
road_offset 3000.0;
Enter the road type name Interstate 2x2 and enter the number like this, we try 32m.
Interstate 2x2 (32m)
To save the information you have, click the X button and click yes to save it. Start up the map editor. Create the road and select "Interstate 2x2 (32m) road type. You're done. You can create as many roads in the game.

To bring up the map inside the editor, you must press the C button and rotate the camera in any direction and press the M button. You can try it out if your game runs faster, not for users having the game that it freezes. Want to assign a highway? proceed to Modder Book Part 4 - Assigning Road Numbers.

When you put a new terrain beside the road, you might see too much excess terrain, well here is a tutorial about Roads and Rocks, try any rocks like rock(s) 01, and 02. and you can select the dry, green, anything like it. To place a rock beside the road and put it near the excess terrain, or if you experienced too much excess land, try a normal rock (1.00000 - 2.00000) or a big rock (2.00000 - 5.00000), or one giant rock (5.00000 - 100.00000), or you can do it as a World's Largest Rock (100.0000 or greater) in your PTTM map editor.
NOTE: You can not use little rocks on big excess lands.
Putting your own rock like 100.00000 or greater for best results of eliminating excess lands in the map editor of your PTTM game. If you want to have a gigantic rock like doing 500.00000 or greater, you have to be in the Rocky Mountains or Canada or Alaska.
You might reach like 1000.00000 on rocks and reaches to the limit so that you are shrinking space for your map editing so keep your eye on your rock, you may get a biggest gigantic rock like 1000.00000 or greater, you run out of space real fast.
