Something I'm trying to kick into next. Looking for some real photos on the net, we could possibly swap out game textures with. Where is a good place to start? Photobucket, flix, somewhere else?

Theres a ton of all kinds of textures on CG Textures. You have to register if you want the pictures in a larger scale. cgtextures.com/

By the way. Anyone have ET2, and if so, any way the scenery imagery, and textures can get pulled, and sent? Or is it all pretty much "wos" standard?

Extreme Trucker 2 has alright scenery. Nothing 'Wow', but it can be used I reckon.

Aye, no worries. Because of the varied terrain in ET2 (Ice roads, Montana logging routes, Aussie Outback, Bangladesh, Yungas road in Peru) there's plenty to choose from and it would probably fit in quite well in places. Worth having a go at least. It's just choosing what you want where I guess.

Yeah, much of that might come in handy later. One idea we have is going into "soccor studios" map, and we go city by city, rework the road textures, scenery, back grounds, and building additions, and so on.

That could work. I remember Soccer Studios map was very detailed, wasn't it? Made a lot of folks convert from the standard map, haha.

The map itself was mostly default, with a couple switch-arounds, nothing really new though. It is missing a few roads, and short cuts as well, but very little errors on the entire thing, land or console wise.

The S.S. map added a few towns, and reworked the highway system to be more realistic. However they did do a few incorrectly. 75 doesnt run through Cleveland lol etc. And Outlaw is correct. We're going to go east to west, then North to south rebuilding each city with new buildings, textures, and, where needed, reworked roads.
Some ideas to give ya an idea. the twin towers, and lady liberty, in new york. LAX in los angeles. Loggin camps round the northwest (montana, etc). Tryin to remove as many default, now ancient "crap", as possible lol

It'd be convient if 75 went through Cleveland even though 71 does
